Liz Robson speaks at Net Assets Seminar

Liz Robson was asked to present the findings of the SiDE Society perspective’s research into harnessing digital technologies to engage young people. The event forms part of the Net Assets project. Around sixty charities and social enterprises turned up at Jury’s Inn to hear about some of the difficulties faced by the Regional Youth Work Unit when they tried to help young people develop a campaign.

The SiDE research team  monitored and evaluated progress throughout the entire project, taking the role of participant observer or critical friend.  This project was different in that the expertise of young people, the ‘digital natives’ was sought to tackle the social issue of increasingly marginalised communities with little or no impact on decision making processes.
